Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) launched a new policy on July 29, 2025, that’s set to redefine transparency for visa and permit applicants worldwide.

For the first time, IRCC will now be proactively including officer decision notes with refusal letters for select applications, rather than generic refusal letters (often vague and uninformative).

This bold move is poised to empower millions of applicants, from international students to temporary workers, by shedding light on the often opaque decision-making process.
